The AAHA Standards Learning & Self-Assessment Center (“the System”) helps veterinary hospitals learn the AAHA standards, run mock self-evaluations, and get coaching from accreditation consultants.
1. What we collect
- Account details: username, name and mobile number (for sign-in, password recovery and verification codes);
- If you use SMS codes: messages are sent via Alibaba Cloud SMS; we keep only a hashed copy of each code, for up to 7 days;
- If you sign in with WeChat: your user identifier (openid) under our WeChat service account, used to recognise your linked account. We do not collect your WeChat nickname, avatar or contacts, and you can unlink at any time on the Account page;
- Hospital details: name, city, contact person, evaluation date;
- What you enter: self-evaluation answers, notes, learning and quiz progress;
- Sign-in records: time and IP address;
- Questions you ask the AI assistant.
2. Purpose
We use this data only to provide learning, self-evaluation and accreditation coaching, and to keep the System secure.
3. Storage and retention
- Data is stored in mainland China (Alibaba Cloud, Beijing region).
- The System is backed up daily: database backups are kept for 30 days and server snapshots for 7 days.
- After an account is deactivated or you request deletion, we delete your data within 30 days; backups are cleared automatically when their retention period ends.
4. Who can see your data
- Hospital members can view and edit only their own hospital's data.
- AAHA accreditation consultants can view the data of all hospitals for coaching purposes.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
5. AI assistant
- Your question, together with the relevant standard text and your hospital's note on that standard, is sent to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Qwen) to generate an answer.
- Do not include personal information about clients, patients or staff in questions or notes.
- AI answers are for learning only; AAHA's official standards and your consultant's guidance take precedence.
6. Cookies and local storage
The System uses one session cookie for sign-in and stores interface preferences, such as language, in your browser. No tracking or advertising tools are used.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your personal information, or close your account. Please contact your accreditation consultant.
